Born in Exeter and raised in the midlands Amanda Carter-Savigear now lives and works in London as a house renovator and designer. She is a self taught photographer however spent a lot of time in the dark room whilst training as a set and costume designer at the Wimbledon School of Art.

She works primarily in black and white and despite having a passion for street photography prefers the tranquillity and solitude that is often associated with long exposure photography.
